Rossmeisl Roger Junior

in Sunburst

1949

This archtop guitar was made by Roger Rossmeisl, perhaps working with his father, Wenzel, in their shop in Berlin in the late 1940s before Roger emigrated to the US in 1953. Note the elongated f-hole soundhole and the German carve around the edges of the body. Roger worked for Rickenbacker Corp. from 1954 to 1962 and was influential in shaping the design of many of the company's guitar models. This guitar is depicted and discussed on pages 50-53 of the Rickenbacker Book (2021/23).
