The C58 series was Rickenbacker's third (and final) attempt to "get it right" with the 325 reissues. The 325C58 body is two inches thick and was made of lightweight alder and a maple neck, with scatterwound toaster-top pickups and a Kauffman vibrola, just as was found on John Lennon's 1958 325 when new. The C58 series is considerably lighter than the previous 325V59 reissue and weighs in at just over 5 pounds. It has other variations faithful to Lennon's original 325, such as Grover open-back tuners. This example has been fitted with a two-knob wiring loom and single switch, as this was the original factory control layout for the 1958 325 models. It has been professionally refinished by Paul W. in Autumnglo over its original Mapleglo finish. OHSC
