This is one of the thirty model 325 guitars made by Rickenbacker in 1958, of which only half have been presently accounted for. It shows some playing wear but has otherwise survived in decent shape with its original Autumn Gold finish. Like several other 1958 model 325s, this guitar was returned to the factory later that year to be fitted with separate tone and volume controls for each pickup and a pickup selector switch. Bearing the serial number V89, this guitar was the first 1958 325 to have an f-hole, which was a feature of all the 1958 325s that followed.
