Martin Model 0-18

with Shaded Top

1939

Played for years as a 'campfire' guitar, and showing the knocks and nicks of continual use, this 1939 pre-War mighty midget has retained its structural integrity during its 80+ year life. The original shaded spruce top is an unusual variant and prized today by Martin collectors. Note the mahogany back and sides and the tortoiseshell binding and pickguard. All original except for a correct replacement bridge, this guitar has that striking, clear and woody tone associated with pre-War Martins and is unusually loud for its diminutive size. Original softshell case.
