Gibson ES-335

in 'Iced-Tea' Sunburst

1966

Plays very nicely with two humbuckers and trapeze tailpiece and tune-o-matic bridge with nylon saddles; block inlays; tuners changed to Grovers. Black HSC with gold lining. The 335, 345 and 355 models are termed “semi-hollow” because a hardwood center block is added to the interior of the body, under the pickups and bridge, to increase sustain (and weight), as opposed to, for example, the 330 model, which is a “true” hollowbody and is noticeably lighter with the same scale length.
