Rickenbacker model 4002

1979

The model 4002 was introduced in 1977, just prior to the advent of the model 4003. Although not strictly a limited edition, there were less than 200 issued and these remain highly sought after. The body was made of figured maple with a finish in Walnut or Mapleglo, such as this one. Features include checkered body binding, custom pickguard, fully bound body, neck and headstock, two high gain humbucking pickups and an ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. In addition to mono and Rick-O-Sound stereo output jacks, the 4002 also has a low impedance output jack to enable direct connection to a recording studio control board. With OHSC.
