This bass reflects the transition in 1968 from the horseshoe bridge pickup to the hi-gain bridge pickup; shows playing wear and light clearcoat checking throughout; the bridge has been moved back 1/4" for intonation and a wood shim placed to close the gap (see photos); replaced vintage-quality pickguard. With checkered binding, crushed pearl fretboard inlays, long headstock, gap-toothed aluminum bridge/ tailpiece, mono output and vintage reissue silver tolex case with red lining.
