Rickenbacker Model 4001

This bass has several interesting features. First, the tuners are "wavy" Grovers, a throwback to the early '70s when those were found on most model 4001 but rare in an '80s bass. Next is the "orange-y" shade of Fireglo, a deep Fireglo that was characteristic of that era - like the finish coloring of some of the early "B-Series" 360/12 guitars. The date code of this bass is WC, which places it as a March 1983 issue. This would be one of the last production years for the model 4001. With OHSC.
