This early 1965 guitar (serial # EA) closely resembles the guitar played by the lead player, Beau Charles, of the Knickerbockers as seen on the YouTube video of their recording, “Lies,” made in late 1965. For a time in late '64 and early '65, the backs of 360-series roundtops were bound in plain white/black binding, as shown on this guitar, as opposed to the standard checkered binding.
